There is some need for proprietary nvidia drivers (well, some games do not quite work well).
For this reason, there are several questions:
1. Is it worth it? Is there a significant pros and what?
2. What are the problems when installing the add?

PS Features the following:
Debian 8 amd64
Vidyuhi Nvidia GeForce GTX 670

2. What are the problems when installing the add?

No. They are in the office. repos Are standard with apt-get/aptitude.

Lord. Nefiga at your mess in my head. Proprietary means closed-source. And nothing more. They give you to use without any conditions. And your imagination may decide you need the source code or not. But something I doubt that you are on Linux the source code though something watched.

Sergey : While what is written is not seen that someone something confused.

TS, including.

The fact that in these matters many are confused - this is true (especially in terms of free speech vs. free beer), but what does this have to the issue the vehicle?

By the way, you also have a mess in my head:
They give you to use without any conditions.

So it is just public domain.

TC wrote nothing about the source. Word.

If we proceed from the question of how it is delivered - TS interested in the technical side of things, and nothing more.

If you want games, then put.
There are a couple of hundred installation instructions Debian GNU/Linux, put in any of them, everything is fine up and running.
